TEPCO is an experienced twenty-one year old regional glazing contractor committed to its leadership position and its ability to satisfy customers’ needs in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of curtain walls, window walls, windows, glass and glazing. TEPCO has based its success on hiring and maintaining quality people and being innovative in the market place. Our current staff is built on a strong base of experience and knowledge of the Glazing industry. We are proud to present the following TEPCO staff:


 

Fred Keen, President - over 30 years in the glazing industry. Founder of TEPCO and developer of the proprietary motor operated vertical-lift skybox window system. A leader in the industry whose belief in expanding the quality and knowledge of the industry is reflected in his co-founding and continued support of programs such as the CEF (Construction Education Foundation) program, and continued support of Texas Glass Association, Glass Association of North America, AGC and ABC. He has managed and overseen numerous multistory installations and high rise renovations.

William C. Keen, P.E., Vice President, Operations - a Registered Professional Engineer with over 28 years in the industry. He has had key responsibilities for major curtainwall projects around the world, including the design and project planning review for the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the world’s tallest curtainwall installation; and U.S. Operations Project Management responsibilities for the ‘Little Britain’ complex in London, England, a $58 million dollar (U.S.) cladding contract. He was Vice-President of the Architectural Products Division and a Board Member of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association). He was on the Engineering Advisory Panel for the Aluminum Association’s “Aluminum Design Manual”. He also co-authored the 1986 FGMA "Glazing Manual" and the 1997 GANA “Glazing Manual”, our industry’s "Bible".

James R. Barber, Project Executive - Jim is a 30-year veteran of our industry, having served several management positions with PPG Industries Commercial Construction Group and Binswanger Glass’ Contract Department. Jim’s Project Management experience includes the EDS Corporate Office Complex, an $8 million dollar glazing contract, and the thirty-story Federal Reserve Office building, both in the Dallas area. Jim is a “Where the rubber meets the road” onsite manager. His specific responsibilities include day to day operations of projects including development of means and methods of construction, overall project scheduling, co-ordination of the various trades installations, and master planning the tremendous efforts associated with staffing, mobilization, lay down, hoisting, rigging and sequencing of installation operations.

Gary Jean CSI, CDT - National Window Sales Manager - 24 years in the glazing industry. Gary spent over a decade with Butler Manufacturing’s Vistawall Division in the United States, in marketing and management. Gary was recognized as Vistawall’s top producing Service Center Manager during his tenure as Manager and one of Vistawall’s top Sales Representatives with several production awards to reflect his commitment and dedication to his customers. Gary is a member of CSI (The Construction Specification Institute) as a CDT (Construction Document Technologist) with over a decade of experience aiding the Architectural community with Architectural Aluminum application and specification. Gary’s ‘can do’ attitude reflects TEPCO’s commitment to the industry and its customers.

Greg Taylor, CSI, Vice President Contract Sales – Greg’s 18 years with Kawneer Company, a major aluminum curtainwall and storefront supplier, give him an excellent knowledge of the requirements on major projects. He also has extensive architectural experience regarding design and development of aluminum wall systems. Greg is responsible for pre-construction services.

Vernon Clay, Safety Director and Manager of Quality Control - 40 years in the installation of glazing systems. Vernon has been an instructor for the C.E.F. Glazier Apprentice program in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for nine years. Vernon's implementation of training programs and regular on-site inspections has reduced TEPCO's number of lost time accidents and project "come backs".

Richard Jacoby - Field Production Superintendent – 25 years in the field. Experienced erector who has run numerous high rise, mid-rise and low rise curtainwall and window wall projects. Richard enjoys an excellent reputation with customers’ superintendents. He is known for his "team" approach with contractors to develop mutually successful projects.

Roy Terry, Production Manager - 37 years supervising and performing fabrication in the glazing industry. Roy was the developer of the industry’s first "I-Beam" Curtainwall fabrication machine, in use by virtually every major wall manufacturer today. Roy is considered by many to be one of the top aluminum-manufacturing Superintendents in the United States.

Harold C. Keen, Director, Sr. Estimator and Consultant - With over 50 years in the glazing industry, Harold has participated in the design, installation, and/or management of over 70 high rise buildings throughout the United States.

Andy Graham - Senior Project Manager - with 17 years in our industry working in project management and estimating of window, automatic entrance and curtainwall projects, Andy has successfully completed numerous mid-rise buildings and large retail installations.

Richard Saunders, E.I.T. – Engineering Coordinator – Shop & Fabrication Drawings, Field Layout Drawings – Richard is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate of Baylor University and a Registered National Engineer-in-Training. He brings additional in-house Engineering, AutoCad Drafting and Design Capabilities.

Christopher Douglas - Project Coordinator - Christopher brings his field experience as a journeyman glazier and job site foreman to project coordination. He was a graduate of the Construction Education Foundation's glazier apprenticeship program and he graduated valedictorian of his class at Westwood College. He is also trained in AutoCad Drafting.

Larry Harkrider – Project Manager - 23 years of construction experience with 7 years in the glazing industry. With his general construction background, Larry adds depth to TEPCO’s ability to interface with other trades. He is especially valuable on retrofit projects.


TEPCO operates headquartered in its current 18,000 sq. ft. office and manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas. TEPCO maintains a staff of experienced office, manufacturing and field personnel to provide turnkey installations of curtainwall, windowall and window systems. TEPCO also takes pride in being one of the top innovative glazing firms in today’s market.
